Autumn wear? Over at Luna and Kiki, that’s where!

Yes the season of mists and mellow fruitfulness is upon us, and, as everyone will know by now, this is our favourite time of year. There’s that early autumn sunshine, when hot, sunny days surprise the jacket right off your shoulders, and a walk in the park becomes a pleasant golden wonderland. There are the changing colours blooming left and right – yes, spring has its blooming flowers and cherry blossoms, but Autumn has kaleidoscopic leaves, turning the world into a paint palette of amber and emerald and scarlet and chartreuse. All the best things! And then, of course, there’s the fashion.

Autumn fashion

I talked to our followers on our instagram stories, and asked you all what your fave time of year for clothing choices was. I’m delighted to see that many of you picked autumn. Whether you’re simply adding a cardy and boots to your summer dresses or going full fluffy-cloud-human with piles of woollens and thick tights, most people agreed that autumn is a fantastic time for fashion.

Then I got specific and the discussion turned to workwear. I wanted to know what changes people make to their work outfits in the colder months. I loved the individual responses I got. I saw that the Luna & Kiki Insta-cats (that’s the official collective term for our followers, which I just came up with. If you don’t know, now you know) could be divided into three categories of workwear wearers.

The Anything Goesters

We love the Anything Goesters. Whether you opt for a classic jeans and stripey t-shirt look, or out and out pattern parties every day of the week, you usually give yourselves free reign as to what jewellery you’ll don. This means that no matter what you’re up to you’ll always be seen in a pair of bright earrings, wearing a beautifully made necklace or flashing a bright brooch or three.

The Business Casuals

The business casuals are the team I fall into. If you’re anything like me, you always make sure you wear something with a collar. Not because you have to, but because collars mean you can wear collar pins! They’re 100% my favourite jewellery accessory. Whether you wear them with a few chains dangling off them, or go for mismatching pieces, collar pins are a fabulous way to jazz up a smart outfit.

The Uniformers

The Uniformers are usually keyworkers, so first of all – thanks for your amazing work over the past few months, keeping our country running and looking after us all! You guys have limited scope for wearing jewellery at work, but – never ones to withhold your inner sparkle – you add cardigans and branded fleeces to your ensemble, and I’m reliably informed that a brooch or pin might sneak its way on to these items.

From your comments, it seems like Autumn is going to be an exciting season for all of us, and the pin is the accessory of the hour. We have a whole range of collar pins, and that it’s forever expanding. Check out what products we have to offer, and let us know which category you fit into! Thanks so much to those of you who joined in and answered all my questions. If you’d like to join in with the discussion next time, go follow us on Instagram!
