This is our homage to the vivacious Mexican festival known as Dia de Muertos (sometimes Dia de los Muertos) or Day of the Dead! The festival, similarly to All Hallows’ Eve and All Saints’ Day, helps us to remember those who have passed on, and is celebrated by those of Mexican heritage all over the world at the very beginning of November.
We’ve teamed our resin skulls with a flower which represents the marigold, the flower which is traditionally used to honour the dead.
How it’s made
Each of our Día de Muertos necklaces are individually hand mixed by Christine in our home in Sherwood – with the help of Luna & Kiki, our two kitty cats. We use Epoxy Resin and to get vibrant, bright and fresh colours we use a variety of methods. We then team these with sterling silver, yellow or rose gold plated fastenings and chains! We hope you love wearing them as much as we love making them! Enjoy!
Pendant: Epoxy resin/plastic
Chain: Sterling silver plated metal or gold plated metal
